Based at Hornchurch and then later at Biggin Hill, 74 Squadron saw action over France and Dunkirk before playing a vital role in the Battle of Britain. One exceptional fighter pilot of the Tigers was 'Sailor' Malan. Also served in the Mediterranean Theatre of war, Europe for D-Day and post war, became part of the all-jet fighter wing at Colerne.
Very slight foxing to outer edges of pages at top, otherwise is a really good clean copy in protective removable clear jacket.
